I wanted to spread the word in the CnC community being that the game definitely takes foundational notes from CnC. Three factions, land and air units, superweapons, tons of tanks, artillery, and long range units, garrisonable buildings, expansive tech tree, and lots of unit and building upgrades.

The game really feels like a spiritual successor to Generals. The economy has been simplified to one type of currency (just like Generals/CnC) and gameplay mechanics and units were tweaked to the point of being MUCH better. Overall a fun game, but it felt like they just missed the mark.įast forward to yesterday, they launched a major beta revision using fan feedback. Game was good, but had a strange economic system (three resources, resources typically didn't last through a full game). Picked up Act of Aggression a while back. I've been pretty bummed about EA destroying the franchise.and have been looking for a newer RTS that was almost as good as CnC. Put hundreds, if not thousands of hours into Generals. Long story short, Generals and zero hour were two of my favorite entries in the series. Been playing since the dos days in like ~1995. Hi guys, I've been a lifetime fan of Command and Conquer.
